Formatting that disappeared…

 A Day On Research

A Day On Research

Yesterday’s blog post experiment the formatting disappeared between Evernote and Word Press – I then tried a short post in Scrivener having cut and paste from Evernote – but the inclusion of  a photo proved the undoing when back loading to WP I did get the’ welly’ shot in manually but it was a fag.
I did notice how to Tweet and upload to FB out of Evernote – but not to WP…
Dug out my resources that I have collected and got to work
‘Learn Scrivener Fast’ site – this didn’t seem directly helpful today as it started prattling on about Multimark down so I switched tack and went to ‘WP 101’  which did show me some formatting options in the WP editor I had missed and also  a couple of other features I might check out next time. And as an aside a pod cast with Jeff Goins which was actually an interesting distraction. I also flicked through the mighty Scrivener For Dummies – no ref to the Blog template so I didn’t get it from them.
Holly Lisle work from last night remained on my desk so I re listened to the Q and A taking notes this time and checking through the hand outs – she is developing – and I have volunteered as a beta for – her own one stop shop writing software that will allow you to write and then up load where ever or add to your M/S without all this mucking about between several  bits of thirdparty software she hopes…It isn’t much help right now.
I have remembered I have a load of links from Platform U re Scrivener and Evernote and I am sure a book on my Kindle which may or may not be the source of the Blogging Template I have which is not exactly what I want to use,  but is now stopping me from progressing till I know where it came from… Bit more research and I found that the Templates had come from Learn Scrivener Fast – so I down loaded a few more as empty projects so next time there is a gap in me looking at this I will know what on earth they are and where they came from.
In order to be fair I have opened the Kindle book Evernote Essentials  Owen Wright and I will flick through to see if I get any other relevant ideas for now – without up grading anything to Premium levels which right now are not cost effective.
I think the answer may be write the blog posts – with photos – on WP editor even if I have written the idea out in Evernote but anything I want to Tweet or Facebook then comes direct from Evernote.
I am experimenting with how it all fits together and works right now – I need a basic set up that functions and I can use, I then need to crack on with the writing – typing up at the moment mainly while the house is being ripped apart – then revision etc and then start putting the books up here. I don’t really need third party software scheduling tweets and posts etc right now – I am sure the world can manage without an up date from me midnight Thursdays.
