Eggs in One Basket…

Otherwise known as ‘No Plan B’ or Not…

Today as I write this it is Tuesday 17/11/2020 and  I ‘should’ have a lot of things ready to move forward because a long list of things was to be achieved one way or another in the last 6 days – none of them has been achieved. So last week I thought that the shed would be finished and we would have collected the last goat and that I could get the other goat scanned that I thought was not in-kid. At that point, I could ‘pull up the draw bridge’ and work on finishing the rewrite of LHR.

I had no ‘Plan B’ – so I settled to read but my reading of some lovely books in the top-of-dairy-snug left me more undermined confidence-wise than inspired and the weather kept me indoors the whole time.

I moped a bit yesterday thinking that ‘all was lost’ but bounced back today with a list of things I can do across the spectrum and reminded my self that the WIP was not to get published and get howled at for a crappy book but to finish the rewrite. I did pick up the old drawing board and I did re-read the last scene written LHR and cast eye over the other two new ideas I had earlier in the year and I see no reason why I can’t write on as long as I stick to the thought plan that I am finishing the rewrite. I have also sat and roughed out some Blog posts – and this.

Rescue Time tells me I did 19 hours at the desk between Tue pm and Friday am on the fiction so that is good.

I have just uploaded the photos and posted a couple of Blog updates – photo updates/uploads to the various machines and Dropbox are still an issue for me – no machine acts quite the same way just to add a photo to the Library and whichever way I set out to do it the computer invariably says no – but for that, I would Blog more often and the WP app adds another level of doubt to the whole process but finding a process that works every time first time has eluded me so far.

I am happy with the decision to reduce to this Blog and the Farm Blog between them they give me enough scope.
