First Half Year
I started riding my ponies and horse for my health and welfare.
I changed the name of the series from the working title of ‘Quest’ to Luckshill Riders.
I wrote the prequel /lead magnet for the Luckshill Riders series.I set up new hardware.
I set up software.
We looked at online accounts – round one. Making Tax Digital.
I got new kit – and old kit repaired – when my hard drive failed.
I set up the office pod to work in the mobile home.
I worked with my feet thing and the back and the neck thing – or rather around them.
I prioritised riding – making a relationship with the horses – my tag line is Writing and Riding.
I learnt to trust my intuition with the horses.
I made a better and more confidence-inspiring arrangement with different vets for horse care and I faced up to having Buddy put down.
I suffered grief after the death of an important lifelong friend and mentor and now, also, for my four-legged friend Buddy.
I realised I needed to remove the stables setting from the Luckshill story world – and from the Hacked series.
I opened a dialogue with Jane Badger about editing the series. I now have more story editing to do before I can book with her again.
It’s been an interesting half year with the pain of loss predominant but also progress. I do not feel I can set goals for the rest of the year – it isn’t always as helpful as folk say – I know what I have to do and what I want to achieve by the end of the year and counting down the days is just a distraction.
