Last Quarter Re Group and Priorities Thoughts on Water Coolers…

At least some jam got madeπŸ˜€

That means there must have been three quarters that have rushed past – and without notes I will ask my self, ‘what did I do?’

I rode Rufus in snow.  I trusted my instinct and faced up to my responsibility with Buddy, when he wasn’t ‘right’ and then was unwell, and I went with him to the bitterest of ends and on out the other side into a forever changed local world for me. Buddy’s illness allowed Flax to step forward and me to work out that dealing with the physical issues that Buddy had mean’t I could cope with Flax’s lack of confidence – as it was it was him that bolstered my confidence and has helped me through a hugely difficult few months. If that sounds complicated then it sums up nicely how difficult it has been.

I finished the Lead Magnet for Luckshil Riders and I asked my choice of Editor if she could help – and she could.

The blip with the story and technical edit I was then started came in that it coincided with Buddy’s crisis. I made the Editor aware and stood myself down.

I then found myself looking at influences around me and how mine were changing again how BREXIT and quarrels over farming were drawing me back to the world beyond the hedge. Radio 4 started running day times in 27 as well as the house.

The weather cooled and husband and I got to grips with some yard work that needed doing and decided to invest in some new fencing around the top fields, garden and old pig pen – because with BREXIT  we realise that food supply and certainly farming in general will be unstable and this farm needs fencing if it is to be worked in any other way than rented out as Grass Keep ( this means my neighbour rents the ground April to Nov and cuts the grass for silage and or grazes it with young cattle)  We could over winter sheep here for extra rent – but we don’t have perimeter sheep fencing and as the person-on-site I don’t wish to be chasing the buggers when someone else’s electric fencing fails. So we made a start. I also cleared the garden and we made plans for a food handling area – all in the shadow of Making Tax Digital!_!

What else have I done?

Blogged on the sites regularly.

So what’s with the Water Cooler thing?

My writing group at Holly’s has been encouraged to shift to the shadows when it was noticed we talk and write – and the replacement thread seems to have that name – just as I wandering off that usual perch I signed up to Absolute Write Water Cooler. I can’t make it up – the only water cooler I have ever seen is in our dentist waiting room in an awkward corner and is no where I would want to hang out – so I wish the new thread well at Holly’s   and I hope we all survive it – and look forward to exploring the engaging prospect  of Absolute Write Water Cooler . The two sites are very different Holly’s is based around using her writing courses – which I have done for years now – and the other is a much larger more open grouping. I think the more the merrier when working alone at home and as the books will be digital and Indie published I have little trouble moving around out and enjoy joining in where I want to.

Priorities then for this last quarter?
