No one is more surprised than meΒ – not even Flax it seems π
Buddy, hadn’t felt ‘right’ all through and once shod he did not improve – in fact, he simply wouldn’t trot. He wasn’t limping or showing pain and it looked a bit grim TBH but it turned out to be pus in the foot, That dealt with we had a few fantastic rides – walk trot and canter and then – over Easter – the headshaking started violently- Oaks in flower or Dandelions?-? But, was gone within a week – allergy. We rode on again but, two weeks ago, the headshaking started again as the Ash trees flowered and the May bloomed – this time I was riding when it kicked off and we staggered into the vets and walked home clutching an inhaler… Whatever It is is still a PIA and Buddy is pretty much only happy, and unstressed, when stood in the middle of KC away from the hedge and the trees. Obviously Not Riding Him.
Rufus continues to be unscathed by Sweet Itch – as yet – so he and I are still riding out as often as we can – usually first-thing but last week we did risk a day time adventure – and had a great time.
But I cannot stop grinning at Flax and I – after 5 years – to be out – fully shod – and about – is a classic example of Never Say Never Again!
